Welcome
St. Moses the Black is a Spirit-filled Catholic parish with a century-deep legacy of uniquely serving the people of Detroit. It was the home of Focus HOPE, and now the headquarters for BetterWAY Detroit. Rosa Parks sat in its pews. Mayors Jerry Cavanaugh and
Coleman Young graced its halls. And as the former site of the Church of the Madonna, its walls rejoice with the memory of
countless first communions, confirmations, weddings, and reverent funerals.
We are no ordinary parish. And everyone is welcome.
We’re glad you’re here.
