Mass at St. Moses the Black is a beautiful blend of festive joy and deep reverence. You don’t just attend, you participate.

MASS TIMES

Worship here is a living encounter with God, not passive observation. The community comes alive; in song, in prayer, and in moving together in a way that draws everyone to the presence of God. Whether you are reserved or outgoing, there is freedom of expression for all. There is freedom of expression. There is emotion. And underneath all of it, there is deep reverence.

A Living Encounter with God

THE WORSHIP EXPERIENCE

THE MUSIC

An Invitation to Participate

The music at St. Moses the Black is not a performance to watch, rather an invitation to participate. Rich with rhythm, testimony, and spiritual power, it draws from the “Lead Me, Guide Me” hymnal, which beautifully weaves the expressive spirituality of the Black church tradition into Catholic liturgy. It is personal. It is communal. It will move you.

FIRST TIME?

You’ll Feel Right at Home

Receiving the Eucharist is the culmination of our spiritual life. If you are baptized Catholic or Orthodox, please join us at the altar to receive Communion.  If you are not, please come to the altar for a blessing - simply cross your hands over your chest to indicate you wish a blessing upon you. If you’re unsure what to do, speak to the priest in advance.  Don’t worry, he’ll make sure you feel at home.
